Centre Tecnòlogic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya CTTC

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), resulting from a public initiative of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya).Research activities at the CTTC, both fundamental and applied, mainly focus on technologies related to the physical, data-link and network layers of communication systems, and to the Geomatics.

Four distinct research divisions are involved in Research activities:

    Communication Networks Division (CND)

    Communication Systems Division (CSD)

    Communication Technologies Division (CTD)

    Geomatics Division (GD)

The Geomatics Division is the integration of the former Institute of Geomatics into CTTC

The division involved in HEIMDALLL is the Geomatics Division which centres its activities in two main areas of the Geomatics discipline. The area of positioning and navigation, and the area of remote sensing, which means Earth observation through images and data collected by sensors on-board of satellites and aircrafts, and ground-based sensors.

The main objectives of CTTC within HEIMDALL activities are: the processing of EO data and the acquisition of Ground based SAR images, aimed at the monitoring of two landslides and the production of deformation maps to be provided to modelling carried out by ICGC.
